Join the MODC on June 25th at The Shore Club for the annual installation of our board members and welcome our new president, Robert McLane, General Manager of the Jersey Shore BlueClaws. 

The event will have a full breakfast buffet and feature guest speaker John M. Lawson, Senior Investment Advisor - Managing Director of Wilmington Trust. 

John is responsible for developing customized investment portfolios for his clients based on their unique parameters for risk, return, liquidity, and other factors. He continually monitors and, when appropriate, rebalances his clients’ portfolios in keeping with their asset allocation strategies and to take advantage of new investment opportunities suitable to their needs. John leads a team of senior investment advisors and is the regional investment advisor lead (RIAL) for the NYC Tri-State region. 

John has over 25 years of experience working with asset management clients. Prior to joining Wilmington Trust in 2010, he was a senior portfolio strategist at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he developed and managed customized investment portfolios for endowments, foundations, corporate pension plans, and other institutional clients. John was also a senior relationship manager and investment advisor at US Trust, serving endowment and foundation clients. Earlier in his career, he supported pension and not-for-profit clients in a variety of roles at Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. and Bankers Trust Company.

He holds a master’s degree in finance from Fordham University and a bachelor’s degree in both economics and history from Bucknell University.

The event costs $45 for members and $50 for nonmembers and can be paid via card online, or by cash or check at the event.
